With OS X Lion (aka OS X 10.7), the company started taking some of what they had learned from iOS, and the iPad specifically, and putting it in their more mature OS. How does TechHeat work?

We weight tech news-items in social media such as Twitter and Facebook to measure how popular (or hot) they are. The idea is: The more people that talk about a news-item, the hotter it gets.

We're using the Fahrenheit scale to measure the hotness where anything over 32° is popular and it's boiling hot at 212° and above.
